COMMUNITY MICRO BAKERY
Taymount Bakery was set up during the lockdown period of 2020, when I suddenly found myself out of freelance work for the foreseeable future. My hope was to bring a little baked goods joy in a strange time. I am currently baking from my flat for the residents of Taymount Grange, and the surrounding community of Forest Hill, but I am now hoping to expand and find a premises locally.
Recently the lovely lot at Service Abnormal, a group of filmmakers documenting London’s adjusting food industry, came to pay me a socially distanced visit towards the end of a prep day for the bakery. The interview they recorded can be viewed below.
